My First Reddit's Gold
A kind stranger gilded me yesterday for my comment that got heavily downvoted despite stating the fact: (of course I won't put the screenshot of my comment. What happens in Reddit stays in Reddit lol) Of my 4 years of being active in Reddit, this is the first time someone gilded me. Personally I don't care about karma points, golds, or any other kinds of artificial recognition in the Internet. But still, it surprises me a bit. So what does having gold mean to me? Apparently, it allows me to access some features for a certain period. Can't recall whether it is 1 week or 1 month. To be honest, the extra features are not that appealing to use. But I agree with some comments saying that it is one way to support Reddit. Maybe it is not that useful, but it might help them a bit financially. It is not my money, anyway :D
